Former Mayor, Alderman and Leader of Broxtowe Borough Council. Passed away on 17th July 2026 aged 82 years. Loving husband of the late Jean, much loved Dad of Lorraine, Dawn, Tracey, Emma and Paula and a proud grandad and great-grandad who will be much missed by all of his family and friends.

Funeral service to be held on Wednesday 26th August at 9:45am at St. Helen’s Church, Selston NG16 5EW, followed by Service of Committal at Amber Valley Crematorium, DE55 1BH at 11.00am. We will then gather to celebrate John's life at the wake at The Dog at Pentrich, DE5 3RE from 12 noon.

We invite you to wear colours, no traditional black is required, as we celebrate John's life. If you are planning to attend please let the family know, or email johnboothfuneral@hotmail.com.
