Yes. Many families find it easier to talk about funeral arrangements in their own home, and we are happy to come to you at a time that suits you. If you prefer, we can meet at our Heanor funeral home, or speak by phone or video call.
Yes. We arrange funerals for families of all faiths and beliefs, and for those with none. That might be a church service, a ceremony led by your faith leader, or a non-religious celebration of life led by a celebrant. Please tell us about any customs or timings that matter to you, and we will do everything we can to honour them.
Yes. A direct cremation is a simple, dignified cremation without a service or mourners at the crematorium. Families often choose it when they would like a simple, low-cost send off, or wish to hold their own memorial or gathering later. Our direct cremations take place at Amber Valley Crematorium. This is the nearest crematorium for most Heanor families. The ashes can then be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium or returned to you. You can read more about direct cremation, and we are always happy to talk through the options and costs with you.
Yes. A prepaid funeral plan lets you set out your wishes and make financial provision for your funeral in advance, so your family has one less thing to worry about. Our plans are provided by Ecclesiastical Planning Services. This provider is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. When the time comes, our Heanor team will carry out the funeral locally. You are welcome to call in or ring us on 01773 713921 to talk it through, with no pressure at all. You can also read more about our prepaid funeral plans.
