A Direct Cremation

For a minimal and cost-conscious send-off, you can choose a Direct Cremation, which provides a respectful send-off without a service or mourners attending the crematorium to witness the committal.

This option is ideal for families who prefer a private farewell and wish to arrange a separate memorial at a later date.

The CMA (Competition & Markets Authority) requires all funeral directors to offer a package called the Unattended Cremation and publish a Standardised Price List.

We have two Direct Cremation package options, our Unattended Direct Cremation which provides a wood-effect veneer coffin, and allows some personalisation options or our Basic Direct Cremation which includes a cardboard coffin.

2. Care of the deceased
