Gillotts Are Here to Help You Every Step of the Way

We know that for most of the families, this is the first time they’ve had to arrange a funeral before. It can be a confusing and stressful time. We’re here to guide and support you through everything that will need to be done in the coming days and weeks.

Where to Start with Arranging a Funeral

Transferring the Deceased Into Our Care

We will collect the person who has died and transfer them into our care. They will rest at your chosen funeral home, in either Eastwood, Heanor, Kimberley, Stapleford or Selston.

Here our expert team of trained funeral professionals will look after them for you until the day of the funeral with the utmost care, compassion, respect and dignity.

Here to Support & Guide You

As well as caring for the deceased, we are here to help and guide you through the process of arranging the funeral with kindness and compassion.

We will meet with you to discuss the funeral you would like us to arrange. You can come to our funeral home, we can visit you at your home, or we can speak on the telephone or on a video call. The choice is yours.

Deciding on the Funeral Arrangements

To help you decide on the funeral arrangements we will ask about the person who has died; their likes, interests and achievements, as well as what you know about their funeral wishes.

We will explore the ideas you have for the funeral, and we can advise on anything you’re unsure about.

We’ll also provide information about other options for things you may not yet have thought about, to help you to create a funeral that is truly unique and personal.

What Style & Types of Funeral Will You Choose?

If you’re not sure whether the person who has died would have preferred a cremation, burial or something a bit different such as a direct cremation or natural burial, we’ve created an overview of what to expect for each type and style of funeral.
