Our welcoming funeral homes in Eastwood, Heanor, Kimberley, Selston, and Stapleford provide a comforting space for you to begin the journey of honoring your loved one. Serving families across Broxtowe, Amber Valley, Erewash, and Ashfield District for over 150 years, we understand the importance of a safe and supportive environment.
Each of our locations features a tranquil arrangement room, where we’ll listen to your stories about your loved one and guide you through the process of creating a personalised tribute. Our peaceful Chapels of Rest offer a sanctuary for you to spend precious moments with your loved one before the final farewell

Our Eastwood funeral home is located on Nottingham Road. There is on-street parking directly outside the premises and a pay and display car park round the corner on Oxford Street, which costs £1.00 for 24 hours.

1. What should I wear to a funeral?
Traditionally, black is the most worn funeral attire due to its sombre colour and association with mourning. However, wearing bright coloured clothing to symbolise a celebration of life is becoming quite popular. To avoid any mishaps, consult the family organising the funeral, or dress neutrally.
Men typically wear dark-coloured suits with a collared shirt, black tie and formal shoes. Women usually opt for dark-coloured dresses or suits, with smart shoes and jacket if required.
Generally, guests are expected to dress in smart attire and avoid casual clothing such as jeans, hoodies and trainers. The most important thing is to be comfortable and dress for the weather. Churches and cemeteries can be very cold in the winter.

We have two Direct Cremation options, our Unattended Direct Cremation which provides a wood-effect veneer coffin, and allows some personalisation options or our Basic Direct Cremation which includes a cardboard coffin.

Early Morning Crematorium Service
This option allows a small number of mourners to attend the crematorium to hold a short service or to spend time in the Chapel before the cremation takes place.
Simple Attended Funeral Service
This option provides a simple cremation or burial funeral service with a wood-veneer coffin. It’s ideal for those who want a straightforward and cost-effective send-off.

– Our Funeral Director will attend and conduct the service at your chosen venue/s
– We’ll provide a hearse and team of pallbearers to transport the deceased on the day of the funeral
– We’ll also provide any limousines you have requested.
– We’ll provide a personalised processional route from your choice of starting location (for a maximum of 30 miles and 2.5 hours)
– We’ll also provide assistance with music, webcasts and visual tributes to play at the service
